Impact of the Welcome Dayton program on the Dayton economy
We made a podcast focusing on immigration into the Dayton area. Recently through the efforts of the Welcome Dayton program, there has been influx of immigration from many different foreign countries. Dayton has put so much emphasis on immigration because of the benefits they bring. They bring growth to the local economy, and people like economic growth. But that’s not all they bring. During our interview with Dayton Mayor Gary Leitzell, we learned how they have given life to the poorer housing in the community, giving it color and warmth. The state of the community overall has improved. We believe that this growth will flourish in Dayton, and then spread through all of Ohio.
